I have played 3 events at pkr the last three days. Yesterday was the pl omaha tour and i finished as nr 20 in the money. I really like playing pl omaha and it was really a shame not to make the final table. It was close but in a crusial coinflip situation, the coin landed on the wrong side.
In the 2 previus events, a no limit holdem and a limit holdem tour i dident make the the money.
Today its the Terminator Xtreme $5,000 guaranteed shorthanded ($20 buy-in). I have never really played bounty tournaments because its no appealing to my playing style, but im gonna give it a shot anyway and proberly play totally opposite of everybody else and just play it like a normal tour and see where that takes me. There is no prizepool in this tournament, you only get money for knocking out players. 75% of their buyin you get straight away, and 25% goes on your head.
After the first half hour i catch qq and raise it up and get a call. Three low cards shows on the flop and i bet pot to get a call. Turn is a king and he checks. I dont have much left and i have him covered so i push the rest. He calls to show that he has called preflop and on flop with k-j off. I now dont have much left but manage some steals. The blinds go up fast though, every 10min so before the first break with 1000 left and blinds being 150-75 utg moves all in with hes 850. I have j-q suited and its time to gamble so i call. He shows a-5 off but 2 aces comes on the flop and im basicly gone.
I will proberly never play a bounty tournament again, its just not me.
